About YES2Know /  YES2Know Vancouver Island is

a community organization that is dedicated to building stronger, healthier, and happier communities. Our goal is to give young people an environment to learn about important social topics that affect our communities, but more importantly to give them a means to share and add their voices to the discussion.

By inviting the community into our initiatives and connecting them with students, we hope to not only help young citizens across Vancouver Island realize the value they hold in their communities, but also their incredible potential to influence change. Ultimately, we believe that by engaging, empowering, and educating youth, we can help them shape the places they live into vibrant and thriving communities.

Since 2016, YES2Know Vancouver Island has only been able to reach out to students and make a difference due to our amazing partners and sponsors, who continue to support us. Our connection with Vancouver Island University has allowed us to work with post-secondary students in Criminology, Education, and Nursing to deliver and develop our great programming. By partnering with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and Nanaimo-Ladysmith Public Schools we have been able to hone in on current and evolving issues that impact youth in our communities.

The work we do wouldn't exist without the enduring support of the RCMP, Nanaimo-Ladysmith Public Schools, along with the Nanaimo-Ladysmith Schools Foundation, Nanaimo Community Policing, and Coast Capital Savings whose belief in our mission has helped us come farther than we ever imagined.
